Pedaling a political brand of comedy, Tiernan Douieb is a popular figure on the UK circuit. His 2010 and 2009 Edinburgh shows ‘Littlest Things’ and ’28 Years Later’, received several sell out crowds and great reviews for his affable comedy and strong storytelling.
His 2011 show Tiernan Douieb vs The World also enjoyed as successful run at The Fringe. On tour he has supported Jim Jefferies and Frankie Boyle, and he has done warm up for Mark Watson’s We Need Answers as well as performing at some of the UK’s top music festivals.
He has performed as part of the sketch troupe Tea and Cake and invented the world’s first ever Twitter Comedy Club which has an estimated 14,000 viewers.

Topical stand-up comedian, celebrity tweeter, actor, writer and co-founder of Comedy Club 4 Kids – Tiernan Douieb is a busy man.
Tiernan is a popular figure on the UK comedy circuit and creator, writer and presenter of ‘Partly Political Broadcast’ – a weekly comedy podcast dissecting the previous week’s political news. Since it’s launch in March 2016 the hour long podcast has gone from strength to strength.
Tiernan was listed in the Observer’s Top 50, ‘ Arts & Culture Tweeters’, as one to follow. The Telegraph, Times, Metro, London Evening Standard and Buzz Feed regularly publish his tweets. He’s also written a regular blog for Huffington Post.
Tiernan has performed many times at the Edinburgh Fringe “The Worlds Full of Idiots, Lets Live in Space” (2015) received particularly good reviews. Other solo shows include, ‘Tiernan Douieb Vs The World‘ (2011), ‘Littlest Things’ (2010) and ’28 Years Later’ (2009). Prior to this he’d performed in Edinburgh with his sketch show group ‘Tea and Cake’ who received comparisons to Chris Morris for their dark undertones.
A talented comedy actor, Tiernan played ‘PC Karl Peabody’ in Telly Juice’s sitcom Marshal’s Law and had a memorable cameo in C4’s Fresh Meat.
Tiernan’s comedy has taken him all around the world and he’s particularly popular in Scandinavia. He’s also supported Jim Jeffries and Frankie Boyle on tour, worked as warm up for Mark Watson’s, ‘We Need Answers’ (BBC4) and ‘Dick and Dom’s Funny Business’ (BBC1).
Meanwhile as co-director of the Comedy Club 4 Kids, Tiernan regularly performs comedy for 6-11 year olds across the UK and runs comedy workshops for children. In 2014 his Christmas kids show, ‘The Santa Claus Science Experiment’ (which he co-wrote & co-starred in with Howard Read), delighted audiences at the Bloomsbury Theatre. His other hit children’s stage show, “The Adventurer’s Club- The Great Arctic Caper”, (co-written & performed with Tim Fitzhigham), received 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe and is currently being adapted for television. When Tiernan was invited to guest on CBBC’s The Slammer he scored the highest score ever on the clapometer.
