What Is NextUp?

NextUp is a streaming service for you to discover the best stand-up comedy. 90% of shows are exclusive. Enjoy weekly livestreams direct from comedy clubs and festivals, alongside a 100+ library of on-demand comedy specials and short sets. Watch as much as you want, whenever you want, without any adverts – all for an incredibly low price. With new shows every week, there's always a new comedian to discover.

What Can I Watch?

Shows are either 60 minute comedy ‘specials’ - like you’re watching a comedian on tour, or a mixed bill night with 10 minute sets from different acts - like you’re at the best comedy club in town. We tirelessly scout the circuit to serve you the best shows, with new and exclusive releases every week. We also reflect the variety of the comedy scene better than any other platform with observational stand-up alongside character comedians, musical comedy, sketch groups, and alternative acts.

What Are 'Livestreams'?

Only with NextUp can you tune in LIVE to comedy shows happening across the UK. Livestreams are multi-camera with professional sound - bringing the ‘anything can happen’ magic of live comedy to your sofa. Most livestreams also have a catch-up option so you can watch them for a limited time even if you miss the original broadcast date. Click here to view our upcoming livestreams.

Which Comedians Are On NextUp?

Our shows feature famous comedians and rising stars such as Maisie Adam, Ed Bryne, Josie Long, Miles Jupp, James Acaster, Richard Herring, Lou Sanders, Suzi Ruffel, Sam Simmons, Jen Brister, Shappi Khorsandi, Thaniya Moore, Jess Fostekew, Jordan Brookes, Rachel Parris, Lauren Pattison, Kiri Pritchard Mclean, Reginald D Hunter, Mae Martin, Zoe Lyons, Paul Sinha, Mark Watson, Laura Lexx, Daliso Champonda, Robert White + more.

Where Can I Watch?

Watch instantly on the web at nextupcomedy.com or via our apps that are available on Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, Samsung and LG smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV. You can also cast with AirPlay and Chromecast. On our iOS and Android app you can also download shows to watch offline (goodbye boring journeys!)

How Do I Cancel?

You can cancel anytime.

There are no contracts or cancellation fees.

Simply click the ‘cancel membership’ button within your settings page.

How Does NextUp Support Comedians?

NextUp split all fees with comedians 50/50, as well as providing them with free writing and rehearsal space. We also spearhead initiatives to increase representation across the live comedy industry. Social impact projects are supported such as 'The Care Home Tour' that saw comedians perform for dementia care home residents. During COVID-19, NextUp raised over £150k for acts who lost their income. By joining NextUp, not only can you discover the best live comedy, you’re supporting it too.

Loremen is a podcast about local legends and obscure curiosities from days of yore

(4.9/5 – Apple Podcasts).

Join James Shakeshaft and Alasdair Beckett-King as we "investigate" forgotten folklore in front of a live studio audience.

Stream directly via NextUp.

Robin Hood? The Loch Ness Monster? Pfff! Too mainstream. Loremen is about folklore you probably haven’t even heard of. Previous subjects include the Ghost Duck of Stoke, the London Monster and Gef the Talking Mongoose. And who could forget, the Mickleton Hooter?

Two absolute legends (AKA fully vaccinated men) will tell stories from the British Isles, and then grade them according to the completely arbitrary Loremen Scoring System. This will be the first truly LIVE outing for the Loremen podcast, so we really hope both of our fans can make it.

Listeners are calling Loremen:

"The best comedy podcast I've come across."

"Witty and well researched."

"Pumpkin racists."
