About
With an ever-expanding repertoire of the witty and profound journey through life, Dylan Brody has earned a reputation as one of America’s leading humorists and storytellers.

It was the first of its kind at the Hollywood Improv venue and enjoyed a successful six month run on the main stage, and 18 months at the acclaimed Fake Gallery in LA.
Dylan has worked in venues all over the world, sharing the stage with some of comedy’s biggest stars including Adam Sandler, Dennis Miller, Larry David, and Jerry Seinfeld. He appeared in the George Carlin Tribute at the New York Public Library, hosted by Whoopi Goldberg. When working alongside Robin Williams on the circuit, the now departed comedian and much loved actor labelled Dylan’s writing as “brilliant”. He’s released five CDs out on the Stand Up! Bio
Born in the US in 1962, Dylan Brody began performing stand-up in New York the summer after he finished high school. The world famous Improv in Hell’s Kitchen accepted him as a regular performer whilst he studied at College and he was thrilled when the renowned comedian and social critic George Carlin, whom Dylan admired as a child, once called to offer him encouragement as a “very funny young political comic.”
Dylan wrote his first play whilst still at school, going on to become a prolific writer and novelist. One of his latest plays, Mother May I, won the prestigious Stanley Drama Award for playwriting. His novels, A Tale of a Hero and The Song of Her Sword and The Warm Hello, were published in 1997 and 1999, and his novella, Heroes Fall in 2009. Brody was also successful in the world of commercial writing, penning the Super Bowl ad for Austin Powers in Goldmember and an hysterical Bad Santa teaser campaign. In 2000, he was nominated for a Golden Trailer Award for his work on Big Momma’s House.
Dylan studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts whilst working London’s comedy clubs, developing a loyal following at the Canal Café Theatre where he performed weekly. Returning to America, Dylan worked venues from New York to Los Angeles, sharing the stage with some of the comedy world’s biggest stars. In January 2009 Brody premiered his one-person show More Arts / Less Martial, a piece that took his audience on a poignant and often hilarious journey from a childhood of bullied insecurity into an adulthood of storytelling and Mastery of Taekwondo. The show was a popular success and he subsequently he signed a deal with Rooftop Comedy for its release.
In a break from standup Brody spent years honing the craft of storytelling. This renaissance unleashed a new style in his performance that involved nesting memories and flashbacks inside a current moment, a technique he also uses in his fiction writing. His stories are heard daily on Sirius-XM Satellite Radio Laugh USA Channel, and have appeared on KYCY Radio in San Francisco, WBAI Pacifica Radio in New York and KPFK Pacifica in Los Angeles. For more than two decades, Dylan Brody has been making people laugh around the world, evolving into an artful anecdotalist with an engaging style all his own!
