About
Patrick Turpin is a ‘young’ writer/performer who specialises in performing irreverent and off-kilter theatrical stand-up. He regularly attends the Edinburgh Fringe and performs at comedy nights across the UK.
A former member of the Leeds Tealights student revue troupe, who started stand-up in 2008, ‘Turpy’ is now a regular on London’s alternative comedy scene.
Watch Patrick Turpin’s Stand-Up Special
After almost three decades, it’s time for Turps to curl back into the fetal, reconnect the umbilical, and tell himself that everything will be alright. A show from him, a heteroflexible white lad, living a life without the loveliest of true loves, and the f*ckiest of true f*cks.

Bio
Patrick made his television debut in 2016 as a principle cast member in the 4Music sketch show Pop Sludge, having won acclaim earlier that year for his second solo live show – To Me, You Are Perfect. He regularly appears on the circuit in London, as well as doing the festivals with Latitude, Glastonbury, End of the Road, Green Man, Cornbury and Machynlleth Comedy Festival under his belt. He also appeared in Climaxed on BBC3.
After his time in the Tealights, he went to study in Canada for a year where he joined an improv group called Moist Theatre who gigged around the Toronto area.
Whilst living in Leeds he set up his own comedy festival; Laughter Lines, something he says was more about ‘filling a cultural gap as opposed to a commercial one’.
