Musical comedian Rachel Parris is currently on telly screens in BBC2’s The Mash Report.
As a comedian, she has won critical acclaim for her solo shows which have run at the Edinburgh Fringe, the Soho Theatre London and on national tours, and was awarded Best Musical Comedy Show by What’s On London. Her show was recommended as a Pick of the Fringe by the Guardian who described it as “Beautifully crafted and performed…tears of laughter”.
Parris presented the fourth series of Thronecast and was cast on the BBC show Murder in Successville.

Bio
Parris holds a Music BA (Hons) from the University of Oxford and a second degree from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama for acting. She has been a finalist in several comedy competitions including Funny Women, Hackney Empire New Act and Leicester Square New Comedian of the year. She has taken not one but two solo shows to the Edinburgh Festival to great acclaim, garnering 4-star reviews in several national newspapers.
Not satisfied with narrowing her triumphs to comedy alone, Parris has also enjoyed success as an actor. On stage she has acted in the popular comedy show Death Ship 666 at the Jermyn Street Theatre, Acts of Redemption at the Edinburgh Fringe and recently starred in acclaimed 30 Christmases with Jonny Donohoe, at the New Diorama Theatre in London.
She has made several appearances on BBC Radio 4 and BBC 6 Music, most recently in The Now Show, and on TV, she appeared in the highly anticipated IT Crowd Special on Channel 4, which was nominated for a BAFTA. Rachel presented the Game of Thrones fanshow, Thronecast, on Sky Atlantic and she has appeared in BBC2’s Murder In Successville, Russell Howard’s Good News, satirical sketch show Revolting and is currently on BBC2’s topical comedy show The Mash Report.
Parris is also an experienced improviser, and is a founding member of the award-winning improv comedy smash hit Austentatious, an Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show, UK Tour sell-out, with a residency in London’s West End and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4. She has also improvised with The Beau Zeaux, The Bishop, Monkey Toast and the Comedy Store Players.
