About Us
NextUp showcases the widest range of stand-up comedy specials, featuring up-and-coming comedians alongside established names, practicing all types of live comedy. Whether it’s sketch, clowning, observational or musical, a 10-minute set or a full hour show – if you’re a performer who tries to make a live audience laugh – you could be streamed on NextUp.
Our platform is available worldwide via a whole range of apps so you can be discovered and enjoyed by comedy fans at any time, anywhere.

Benefits for Comedians
We operate on a revenue share – splitting all our subscriber revenue 50/50. So half goes to the acts, and the other half goes towards funding projects and initiatives which benefit the comedy and wider community. We see it as our mission to amplify the power of live comedy.
We also offer free writing and rehearsal space to all the acts we work with, alongside various initiatives and dedicated bursaries to help support their careers as much as possible.
We also have an engaged audience of comedy fans who love discovering new acts and rewatching old faves. Exposure is increased not only through the videos, but through the individual artists’ pages we create for every performer on the platform – all of which you can see here.
Submitting an existing film
We host some of the best stand-up shows in the world, ranging from 45-minute sets to full hour shows. However, we’re pleased to announce we’re soon launching our very own short-form playlist, showcasing 10 and 15-minute sets from some of the most exciting acts on the circuit!
That means if you’re a comic with a well-filmed 10 or 15 we want to hear from you.
If you wanted to submit a pre-recorded show, there are a few things that are good to know before you do;
- Minimum of 2 cameras
- Clean sound
- Audible audience
- Filmed in 1080p or full HD
If you want to send us your pre-recorded 15 minutes, or your full show, get in touch down below!
Getting filmed
We film over 80% of the stand-up specials you see on the platform in-house, working closely with the acts and agents to capture and commit their incredible work on film.
This includes arranging the date and venue as well promotion and ticketing on the night. We also work closely with each act during the editing process to make sure their fully happy with the final show.
NextUp handles all the legwork of filming and produces its own shows across many different venue partners. We’re out watching comedy all the time, so if you’d like us to come down and see you in action, let us know below
