Was anyone else aware NextUp have a live stream channel on Virgin 242? It appears to be streaming Jazz Emu live now (even though the planner said Shaparak Koursandi was live between 9-10pm. The odd thing is, the show is being interrupted by adverts. Guessing this is actually live as we're missing bits of the show.
Does anyone have a list of shows that will be streamed there for the final weekend? Only just found it and there's nothing I can find about it on the app.
Edit - I've got notification of 3 replies to this post, bit for some reason I can't now see any of them. Not sure if they've been deleted for some reason or if there's a fault with the app?
I see the graphic has changed to say Saturday, but with today's date... And it appears not to be streamable right now.
Has the stream been rescheduled?
Hey team, saw on the Ed Fringe site that the 'so you think you're funny' show is 2.5hrs, which means it will clash with Showstoppers (nooooo). Any chance of a change in timings or will Showstoppers be live tonight too and will there be two streams. Thanks
Is there any chance of a Google Calendar of shows that users could subscribe to? I am entering the ones I know I want to watch into my own calendar, but I'd watch far more if they were all in the calendar already...
Will all of the Fringe live streams be put onto the website to view on demand after the shows, or are they only available as live streams? Thanks
Just in case you're struggling for where to start with our Summer Showdown content drop...here are a few recommendations (definitely watch them all though - it's an awesome list).
Firstly - check out Emmanuel Sonubi's 'Emancipated', his debut hour from last year's fringe. He's a comedian on the rise, with material about his past career as a doorman, his kids and his stint in the magic of the musicals...you'll be able to say you saw him here first.
Second, another up-and-comer - definitely watch Lily Phillips's 'Smut'. Absolutely smashing the sh*t out of this set at the beautiful Bedford in Balham - she's going to be huge (Not physically! Though you'll probably notice that she was fairly pregnant when we filmed this).
Finally - if you fancy something a bit out there, check out 'Clinton Baptiste vs Ramone' - this incredible character from Phoenix Nights battles for the title of Britain's Greatest Paranormalist.
In terms of short-form sets, start with Esther Manito's 'Being A Parent' (speaks to me personally that one), and Micah Hall's 'The Two Meanings of Polyamory' ...and then watch all the rest too, they're only short.
Feel free to pop other recommendations in the comments too...all welcome!
