Big news...

And no - it's not about all our Edinburgh Fringe livestreams (that's coming soon!)

We might relaunch our V.I.P. membership offer...

...maybe with a lifetime membership option.

We want YOU to decide.

If you have 2 minutes, please complete our short survey here.

Thank you ❤️

Hi allApologies for the frustrations for VIPs and access recently. An error in the system caused a few bugs and an understandable deluge of support requests and we've been playing catch-up. We still have this week's requests to handle but I believe the backlog has now been cleared and all of those issues have been resolved. Please do email support@nextupcomedy.com for any future issues, whilst we faced a period of slower than hoped reply times, it is still the fastest way to get the right support and allows us to keep this community for the discussion of shows and company udpates which effect everyone. Apologies again for the frustrations, we fell short but are working hard to improve things

Award-winning comedian, tap dancer and Talksport radio host Charlie Baker toured this hour of stand-up drenched in manure, cider and clotted cream around UK villages/towns/cattle markets. Now he's gone digital for the whole world to embrace comedy with a countryside accent. Imagine Jethro and Jack Black had a son. Job's a good 'un. Proper job.

Amy Matthews spins a sparkling web of comedy magic drawn from the two states she finds herself caught between – stability and restlessness. She swings between the unbridled joy in the freedom that everything can change, and the crawling anxiety that nothing is certain. This is a show about the thrill of falling and the thud of landing. And after a thud comes a laugh.

Jason Byrne, half man, half natural disaster. Over the course of his accident-prone life Jason has been rebuilt from the ground up. Bits removed, metal pins, new knee, and an eye that’s been treated, over the years, by the medical profession like a game of Pong. This all culminated last year with heart surgery, twice! He enjoyed it so much he went back for more. Join the most gifted live comedian on the planet as he invites you to laugh at his misfortune. If he tried to say Schadenfreude, he’d probably dislocate his tongue.

Alistair Barrie wasn’t planning on writing a new show until the Conservative Party started playing musical chairs in Downing Street. Liz Truss blamed her downfall on woke culture, and if you agree with her, this probably isn’t the show for you. But if you like topical comedy from a professionally grumpy man looking for any excuse to avoid his parental responsibilities, you’ll be glad to hear Alistair was one of the few people not on strike in 2023.

In her debut solo show, Lulu Popplewell explores the links between Love Actually, smoking crack, the Daily Mail and sunburn. Is love actually all around? Why is addiction more relatable than recovery? Which drug would Mr Bean be most likely to take? None of these questions satisfactorily answered and more! A daft, rude and thoughtful hour of jokes, actually.

Apologies all - the venue have just let us know that tonight's Alternative Comedy gig is not going ahead, so there will be no livestream. Apologies for any inconviennce, sadly this is out of our control and we are passing on the news as soon as we've heard it.

We have just released 2 new epic shows though if you're still looking for a comedy fix... (Charlie Baker and Lulu Popplewell)

Hi everyone. apologies about last night's stream cancellation. We updated Twitter but failed to do so on this community thread - that's my bad. We sadly had no choice but to cancel the stream last minute which was really gutting. I'm sorry for the inconvieience this probably caused. To help ensure this doesn't happen again we have put in additinal measures. Sorry again for the lack of comms on this thread, and the cancellation.
