What's going to make or break this version is how British it is and feels. The American version has never been that popular here (though I happily watch it every week when available on Sky/NOW), so it's going to need time to find its own feet.

Heading out to two new WIPs in Deptford this evening: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/twinklescabaret/2087609

Then the excellent (and previously recommended) multi-award-winning Quantum Leopard tomorrow at Elephant & Castle: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/quantum-leopard/quantum-leopard-s10e11-11th-birthday-show-w-the-creative-martyrs-and-its-byob/e-mjmyok

If you like cinema, I would also recommend this weekend's big global release, Project Hail Mary. I saw a preview last weekend, and it definitely has a good dose of comedy amongst the mystery and drama.

None of these are big names who would have some kind of contractual obligation blocking them from being streamed... 🤷‍♂️

ABC = Always Be Comedy

Hell yes! Great cast and writers. Bring on Saturday 21st!

It's quite a pricey part of town/the world!

John Travolta does comedy?!

Kai - Community Admin thanks, watching it now. FYI, the acts in the title are different to the acts listed in the description.

I think it's worth doing a quick spell check 😉

The award-winning Quantum Leopard, held monthly in London, and on tonight, is a lovely night. It's pay-what-you-want, bring-your-own-booze, two minutes walk from a Zone 1 tube station, gender-balanced with five acts plus a five-act competition, has a no-punching-down policy, and so it's popular with everyone who isn't a dickhead. There's a free podcast interviewing comedians about their sets, and a pay-what-you-want Patreon to access videos of the shows.
