Excellent that Chris Forbes won the inaugural McTavish Award as no Scots were nominated in the traditional Fringe Awards. His show was the sum of years of craft and so personal and quietly emotional.

Thank goodness blessing in disguise I didn’t get home until after 10pm I can keep my fringe run intact

I knew Chris would be good as he’s been improving for years but I didn’t expect the dead dad at 40 minutes bombshell - totally floored me especially as one of my teachers at school had his dad take ill over Christmas and they lost him soon after and Gerry’s comment too. I was sobbing and my heart goes out to all of them💔
