Welcome to Ask a Comedian - our little corner of the NextUp community for getting closer to the people who do the mindblowing, and surprisingly full-on job of making people laugh. 🎭This channel is a place to drop questions for comedians about anything comedy. From writing and finding ideas, prep and pre-show routines, nerves and confidence, gigs that went great (and gigs that didn’t) to touring, crowd work, heckles, bombing, you name it! The Valentine's themed clip shows were very good.

Drum roll please…🥁

So Hannah shared an idea in the community chat yesterday and we loved it so much that we actually went away and made it real!

We’re doing a two-night livestream watch-along called My Funny Valentine, and it’s basically a curated montage of our favourite comedy moments about love, divorce, dating disasters, failed relationships and the joy (and chaos) of being single.

It’s made from on-demand clips, but we’ll be streaming it together so we can all hang out in the chat in real time and have a laugh.

Both nights start at 7pm GMT!

Also worth knowing: Saturday and Sunday are completely different montages, so coming to both isn’t just re-watching the same thing twice. Featured comedians will be announced soon...

Had this random idea! It might be nice to do something as a community on Saturday, or at least for the people who don't have plans. Maybe a watchalong livestream? Idk how it would work but do you think this would be possible Kai/NextUp team?
