Any predictions/wishes/desires/dreams? 🤗 Welcome to Ask a Comedian - our little corner of the NextUp community for getting closer to the people who do the mindblowing, and surprisingly full-on job of making people laugh. 🎭This channel is a place to drop questions for comedians about anything comedy. From writing and finding ideas, prep and pre-show routines, nerves and confidence, gigs that went great (and gigs that didn’t) to touring, crowd work, heckles, bombing, you name it! Ask what you’re curious about, whether you’re a comedy nerd, a casual watcher, or someone who performs. Keep it respectful (obvs!)How it works: We’ll post when we're meeting up with a comedian to film their special or chatting with them, you leave your questions in the comments and we’ll pick 3–5 to put to them, and share the answers back here. 🎤

Liz Truss blamed her downfall on woke culture, and if you agree with her, this probably isn’t the show for you. But if you like topical comedy from a professionally grumpy man looking for any excuse to avoid his parental responsibilities, you’ll be glad to hear Alistair was one of the few people not on strike in 2023.
