Last week, you and our expert Fringe scouts faced the impossible task of nominating comedians for The Biggest Award in Comedy - NextUp’s iconic 2.04m trophy.

Narrowing it down to just 20 was brutal (the Fringe is spoiling us this year), but the shortlist is officially in!

Now, it’s up to you lot. VOTE HERE to crown the winner of this very, very serious inflatable honour.

What’s at stake for the winner?

• 🏆 A massive 2.04m inflatable trophy

• 💨 An electric air pump (essential)

• 🧳 A bespoke carry case to show it off on the go

Week 2, let's goooo! Here's what's happening...

The Big Show is one of the most iconic shows at the Fringe. Monkey Barrel is quite literally Scotland's best comedy club and according to the Telegraph, 'the beating heart of Fringe'. They will be showcasing the best comedy acts this year has in store. And what's even better, is we have FIVE of these livestreams throughout the month. AHH!

On 16 August, we will reveal the 20 long-listed shows, selected through your nominations and recommendations from our comedy scout network.

You will then cast your final votes before the winner is announced on 27 August, when one comedian will face the logistical challenge of transporting a two-metre trophy back home at the end of the Fringe. How fun?!

Note: Eligible shows must be comedy performances running 50 minutes or longer and programmed for 20 or more performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
