Exactly, it feels very disrespectful to me. It wouldn't take much to do it properly.

Start every stream at least ten minutes before the show starts with audio and video so everyone knows they actually work.

In the event of a cancellation leave the show in the calendar with - cancelled added to the end of the show title, so everyone isn't sat around wondering.

If there is a delay or cancellation send out notifications to everyone, again so we aren't sat around wondering what is going on.

They really test everyone's goodwill by treating us so poorly. It could very easily be done properly.

They could start each live stream 10-15 minutes before the shows start. In the case of a cancellation; change the show title to have - cancelled on the end in the calendar, like they've done once or twice here. That would be much better customer service than the shambles we get at the moment.

I subscribe to Hot Water Comedy Club livestream as well as NextUp. They start every livestream about 15 minutes before each show starts so you know it's working and there's none of the clicking in and out of the stream page to see if it started, wondering if it's late or cancelled stuff that they do here.
